The About A Stool AAS38 barstool is part of HAY’s About A collection, created in close collaboration with designer Hee Welling, featuring chairs with outstanding simplicity and combinability. The bar stool’s streamlined seat is crafted from recycled polypropylene with a frame in metal. In 2023, HAY updated the entire About A Collection with shells made from 100 % post-consumer plastic.
With the About A collection, Hee Welling wanted to reach a new level in the combination of shape, function, comfort, detail, and aesthetics. The idea was to develop a chair that would work equally well around a dining table and a conference table, as well as in a restaurant, café or office. Due to their simple and straightforward design, the chairs can be combined with many types of furniture and interiors.
