Description
Edo lid, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Alessi, is made of stainless steel and finished with a brown, burnished knob. Thanks to its concave shape, you can easily place a spoon or ladle on the lid.
Alessi’s Edo collection got its name from two different directions: the name refers to the Latin word “edere”, meaning “I eat”, and Edo is also an ancient name of the city of Tokyo. Italian traditions and Japanese influences unite in the collection into a smooth, seamless elegance. Patricia Urquiola’s Spanish roots are also visible in the shapes of the lids that were inspired by Basque chapelas. The most recognizable details of the Edo pots and pans are the brown, curved handles reminiscent of fabric ribbons. Edo stirs together various elements, resulting in a harmonious, functional and inspiring collection that invites you to experiment and enjoy your time in the kitchen.
