Description
Iittala’s Kastehelmi jar is part of the popular glass collection designed by Oiva Toikka. The glass jar comes with a plastic lid in matching colour, and it can be used in table settings, as a canister for storing food or as a decorative item.
The Kastehelmi collection came about in 1964, when Oiva Toikka explored ways to conceal joint marks in pressed glass. The result was a design featuring rings of delicate glass droplets that resemble dewdrops glistening in morning light. Kastehelmi, Finnish for dewdrop, has since become one of Toikka’s most beloved series of glassware.
