Description
Wooden’s SJL table, designed by Joanna Laajisto, is an extendable dining table crafted from solid beech. Laajisto originally designed the table for her own use, as she wanted a compact round dining table that could easily be extended when needed. Supported by a sturdy 6-leg structure, the round table has a diameter of 140 cm. With the separately stored extension leaf, it effortlessly transforms into an oval-shaped 200 cm long table, providing space for larger dinner parties and family gatherings.
The SJL table is characterised by a deep smoke-brown hue and beautiful grain patterns of beech, enhanced by exquisite details such as the rounded legs and the tabletop’s softly bevelled edge. The table has been treated with high-quality, environmentally friendly Rubio Monocoat oil, which gives the table a pleasant feel and requires no re-oiling if well maintained. A fine example of contemporary Nordic craftsmanship, the SJL table is crafted in Finland.
