For Bouroullec, drawing is a relaxing, even meditative process; he lets the felt-tip in his hand flow freely and intuitively on the paper without planning the shapes beforehand. Therefore, the shapes have no clear beginning or end, evoking a variety of interpretations.
The Drawing 8 poster is lithography printed on Fedrigoni Splendorlux paper. With this technique, the coloured ink appears matte on the paper’s glossy surface, resembling Bouroullec’s real drawing technique.
