Louis Poulsen’s Panthella 160 Portable V3 table lamp is a cordless edition of one of Danish designer Verner Panton’s most beloved lighting designs, perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. This rechargeable lamp features a touch dimmer with three brightness settings, offering up to 8.5 hours of illumination at full brightness – ideal for lighting up balconies or gardens before bringing it inside for the night. Made entirely from recycled plastic, the battery-powered Panthella 160 Portable V3 can be charged with either an induction charger or the included USB-C cable.
When creating the original Panthella, Panton’s aim was to create a lamp in which the base and the shade would both act as reflectors. The light source is hidden under the hemispheric plastic shade, while the trumpet-shaped base gives the lamp a distinctive, balanced silhouette and also contributes to the distribution of light. Originally released in 1971, Panthella is today considered a classic of Danish design and is available in a range of sizes and colours.
