It’s clear that when Finns talk about their woodlands, pines hold a special place in their hearts. Sure, spruces can be felled if necessary, and birch wood makes beautiful furniture, but pines – they must be preserved! Studio Tolvanen designed the Metsäpallo throwing game with this unique admiration in mind: the goal of the yard bowling game is to score points without knocking down a single pine tree.
